Exciting Things are Happening at EERA

Dr.  James Winebrake, EERA Senior Principal, will be presenting on Freight Efficiency at the Transportation and Climate Initiative (TCI) Staff Working Group, organized and facilitated by the Georgetown Climate Center, Dec. 7, 2011 in Washington, DC.

Dr. James Corbett, EERA Principal, was a finalist for the Outstanding Contribution to Sustainable Shipping 2011 awarded in London July 15, 2011.  This award pays tribute to an individual, organization, company, or group that has made a major contribution to raising awareness on how shipping can improve its environmental record through initiatives or other means.   Organizers of the awards said that Corbett was nominated because of his key role in helping the industry gain a better understanding of the impacts of shipping.

Clean Air Task Force engaged EERA to consider how Primary Particulate Matter Emissions by Shipping may contribute to health impacts in Arctic and Northern latitudes. Access the report submitted by Friends of the Earth International to the International Maritime Organization MEPC 62.
